Kudzai Makomva

Kudzai Makomva serves as Chief of Staff in the Office of the Executive Co-Chair of Higherlife Foundation. Prior to joining the Office of the Co-Chair, Kudzai served as the founding Director of the Southern Africa Development Corporation (SADC) Malaria Elimination Eight Initiative, a pioneering model of regional collaboration to eliminate malaria in Africa. There, she oversaw the design and execution of a US$25 million joint regional strategy which, just four years later, is recognized as a model for other regional blocs aiming to eliminate malaria.

Kudzai also spent seven years in increasing leadership roles with the Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI) in east and southern Africa. At CHAI, she advised senior leadership of various governments on business-oriented approaches to improving public health financing and strategy.

Kudzai studied Economics at Harvard University, and is a Fellow of the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine Global Health Leadership Programme.
