Dr. Dankwa-Mullan is Deputy Chief Health Officer and lead scientific officer for IBM Watson Health. She also leads Health Equity Initiatives that ensures diverse perspectives and under-represented communities are included in conversations for ensuring AI and technology innovations include social and ethical considerations.
Her role includes driving the global clinical evidence strategy for Watson Health. This is accomplished through clinical studies, promoting rigorous science evidence, and enabling global democratization of data and evidence-based practices to transform healthcare. Dr. Dankwa-Mullan has over two decades of experience in clinical research, primary care and public health, health disparities and population health. She joined Watson Health after 8 years at the U.S National Institutes of Health serving in various leadership roles.
Dr. Dankwa-Mullan attended Barnard College, Dartmouth Medical School, and completed Internal Medicine residency at Johns Hopkins Bayview. She also obtained her Master’s in Public Health degree from Yale School of Public Health.
